The Next
Frontier for Mankind

School of Metaphysics has developed a four-tier method of study designed to evolve and expand your consciousness.  The study is designed so you can understand, through personal experience, the Natural and Universal Laws that govern our existence.  This course of study is unique in education and is a first step in Self Mastery and comes through an in depth study of mind.

"Are you paying attention?" a parent asks in an exasperated voice. The child looks up, bright eyes shining, "I think I am," she says innocently.

"I want you to memorize this list of spelling words for Friday," the teacher says in a matter-of-fact tone to the group of eight-year-olds.

"Listen carefully," the caregiver cautions. The child looks lost. He knows something about caring and he knows something about hearing. So he tries his best.

I remember many scenarios like these through my childhood years of education in public school. I had many wonderful teachers. They were the ones who made schooling intriguing and fun. Yet, not one of them taught me how to give attention or how to improve my memory or how to listen better.

My choral teachers certainly expected us to listen, sometimes encouraging it with passion. They could tell us if our singing voices were flat or sharp and nudge us up or down in our intonations. That guidance came from their subconscious understandings or a "trained ear." How or where did one get a trained ear?– I wanted to know. ....

We, as a species, are ready to move forward in our ideas of education. We are waking up to new realities within ourselves, a greater potential than book learning and high tech can offer.

Martin Luther King, Jr. described this eloquently when he accepted a Nobel Peace Prize in 1964 at the age of 35, "Yet, in spite of these spectacular strides in science and technology, and still unlimited ones to come, something basic is missing. There is a sort of poverty of the spirit which stands in glaring contrast to our scientific and technological abundance. The richer we have become materially, the poorer we have become morally and spiritually. We have learned to fly the air like birds and swim the sea like fish, but we have not learned the simple art of living together as brothers."

To do that we will need to learn how to live with ourselves.

Mind is comprised of three divisions; the conscious, the subconscious and the superconscious mind each having a unique and equally important duty and purpose to the whole mind.

Conscious Convergence the commitment for transition to unity consciousness what it's like to "walk the walk" and "talk the talk"

The Conscious Mind works with the five physical senses, receiving what exists in our world.  Sight, sound, taste, touch and smell coupled with an aware Conscious Mind enable one to fulfill the reason for incarnation.  Lessons to be learned, karmic indebtedness can be understood through Past Life Profiles which provide the awareness of the focus for learning our soul requires in the present time period.

Lessons like compassion, forgiveness, trust elevate us above the morass of day-to-day experience and enlighten the mind with Truth of who we are as a Spiritual Being rather than simply a body going through experience after experience.

Throughout life, experiences are chosen to afford stimulus for the mind and expanded understanding for the soul.  The Journey of the Soul through experiences and what is learned or not learned is depicted in The Silver Cord, a film demonstrating 8 unique lifetimes woven together through an evolution in consciousness, culminating in a single lifetime in which many lessons are learned.

The Subconscious Mind is the re-creative faculty of mind, responding to the Conscious Mind’s thoughts and desires.  The Subconscious Mind will go to extreme lengths to fulfill the Conscious Minds desires and limitations.   So early instruction to students in the School of Metaphysics study involves learning to focus the attention, gaining awareness of thoughts and learning to choose the thoughts desired.  You may have heard it said, “Be careful what you think, you just might get it.”

Mystical experiences are of the realm of the Subconscious Mind and for most people are psychic in nature.

A man describes being on a table watching frantic medical personnel attempt to resuscitate his body.  A woman dreams of a plane crash, then it happens. A teenage boy talks to his deceased grandfather in his dreams. A child hears voices no adults can hear.  A thirty year old has a near death experience that changes his life.

The realm of astral projection, precognitive dreams, and visitation dreams, telepathy, and near death experiences are real experiences that are unforgettable for the person having them.  The person having experiences such as these usually doesn’t understand them, wonders why they occurred and tries to determine if there is a special meaning for them in their lives.  There is.  These experiences are of the Subconscious Mind and introduce each person to the realm beyond physical sensory experience.

School of Metaphysics teaching in the second and third cycles of lessons enables students to transcend psychicsm to the realm of intuition or a direct grasp of truth.  Through disciplined study and practice of exercises students learn the step-by-step practices needed to cause experiences and to understand the workings of the inner levels of mind.

Astral projection – the experience of astral projection is an experience of life beyond the physical and helps to eliminate fear of dying.  Transcending the dense experience of the physical body promotes the movement toward becoming energy beings.  Part of the study of Mastery Course through the School of Metaphysics involves a progressive experiential study of life force, kundalini energy and the chakras, and cosmic energy.

Dreams come from the subconscious mind and provide the dreamer with insights and awareness of the waking state of mind.  Certain dreams are a specialized form such as precognitive dreams. These are a special type of dream that prepares ones consciousness for a probable future happening. Visitation dreams are another special form of dreaming where the dreamer can connect with another person.  Often visitation dreams involve someone who has died that the dreamer felt very close to providing peace for both the entity who has withdrawn and the dreamer who remains.

Telepathic experiences are best explained through an alignment that has occurred within an individual’s mind.  This can be caused through a development of the Essential Life Skills.  The entrainment created within one’s mind through disciplined practice of mental discipline produces the capacity to use more and more of the potential of the mind.  Psychologists say that we use 10-15% of the mind.  Through study in the School of Metaphysics, these limitations are removed.  Your potential as a mental Creator is only limited by your imagination.

Studies of people having had Near Death Experiences demonstrate common experiences among them.  Among these are the experience of a blinding light, seeing friends and family, communication that is non-verbal, seeing places of incredible beauty and peace and feeling a love that is greater than ever experienced in the physical realm.  The Near Death Experience often brings the person’s attention from outward orientation to the soul’s mission or dharma and the karmic lessons yet to be learned.

"When truth is accepted into the conscious mind often there is a welling up of tears from the joyful emotion that has been experienced. For as truth is accepted in the outer Self the truth from the inner Self finds a worthy receptacle. The conscious mind that has accepted truth is in a receptive and receiving mode. The conscious or outer mind is thereby, made capable of receiving from the inner Subconscious and Superconscious mind.

When the conscious or outer waking mind is receptive then the truth that is in the process of manifesting into your outer waking life can then move through the emotional level of consciousness. Emotions of joy and happiness are a good sign that your desires are moving from the inner or Subconscious mind into your outer physical, waking, life.

A still or quiet mind makes all of this possible. For with the still mind all divisions of mind; Conscious, Subconscious, and Superconscious are aligned, thereby enabling the thinker to have full access to the inner Subconscious and Superconscious minds."

–from Superconscious Meditation

Some have called the Superconscious Mind the Kingdom of Heaven.   The principle of Connected Consciousness governs this part.  This division of mind also contains the plan for our existence and the energy to bring the enlightened consciousness to each of us individually that is known as Cosmic Consciousness, Christ Consciousness or Buddha Consciousness.
