DREAMS

This was really a wonderful experience, it is always possible to bond and grow closer to your children, especially when all the outside distractions are gone. Being at Indigo Odyssey allowed me to concentrate on my children Ryan and Kaley more than usual. This I believe is due to the fact that we were always together and there were no outside distraction such as a television, radio, video games, computers, cell phone, etc…. I believe there are way too many distractions in our lives which we allow making face to face communication less and less, although our advancement in technology is great and serves a purpose there is no substitute for the human touch. I found myself talking, hugging or holding my children’s hands a lot, which always reminded me of the beautiful souls that they are and the hugely important role I play in their lives. To be honest this is not always the case at home, Indigo Odyssey allowed me to see this very clearly and I am now more very aware of the need to always keep improving as a parent.

Interestingly enough Ryan or Kaley never asked about a TV, radio or gadget of any kind. My kids were really immersed in nature and being these free spirits looking and listening at everything with such wonder, It almost made me cry at times to see how happy they really were, in fact neither wanted to leave when it came time to go home. There is this peaceful energy that surrounds the College Of Metaphysics, my children were very comfortable there and really enjoyed everyone’s company. A week has gone by and they are both still talking about it, Ryan and Kaley thoroughly enjoyed their experience and we have been doing the circle of love before Indigo Odyssey but they each received a greater experience of it doing the circle of love with many other people each night, Ryan has a greater understanding of it.

When I ask them what was there favorite experience of it, they rattle off about the camping part, the nature walk, the hay ride, the canoe trip, the cave, the Peace Dome, the other kids, the people they met and on and on, so it safe to say their favorite part was the entire experience. I want to thank everyone who participated in Family Indigo Odyssey, it really impacted my son Ryan who is 10 years old, he has a great interest in spirituality and said to me that he is happy to know there are such kind people who want to expand there love to others. Ryan is also very proud that he was asked to be a Peace Ambassador. Ryan also spoke of his thankfulness to be able to see a growing garden and pull vegetables from the garden, then within hours eat what he pulled, this really fascinated him. I could really write page after page of the discussions I had with my children and what they gained from it, even Kaley who is 3 1⁄2 gained understandings from her experiences. Ryan and Kaley are already looking forward to the next years Family Indigo Odyssey.

Again Thanks to everyone who participated and made my children as well as myself feel very welcomed, safe, loved and connected to something very special. Thank you for the impact you all have made on my children and for the great memories.
