The School of Metaphysics is recognized by the United States government as a 501(c)3 not-for-profit educational institute. Its governing structure is formed in response to the needs of the students to learn self-government and leadership. Each position is self-elective as students receive education that prepares them for teaching and increasing levels of responsibility to Self, their communities, their countries and the world. Directors of branches are teachers who are pursuing advanced levels of study. Collectively these people form the SOM Board of Directors. Currently, Dr. Laurel Clark serves as President. The Board of Governors is designed to continue and to expand the education and services offered through the School of Metaphysics. The board consists of those with the greatest experience in learning, teaching, serving, and directing different areas of local and global outreach. Each member is responsible for a specific area of SOM development from International Education to Intuitive Research to Publishing and Productions.
