What I Have Learned as a Student at the College of Metaphysics

Life at the College of Metaphysics is centered around applying metaphysics throughout the day.  It is the primo place to cultivate greater awareness and draw forth new strengths.  I imagine every student who attends the College of Metaphysics learns something priceless about directing their mind.  Those who apply themselves learn even more.

Like anywhere else, there are physical activities that each person becomes responsible for.  Unlike other places, the activities at the College of Metaphysics are tools for teaching and learning consciousness - every single one of them.  So as college students we practice making each activity a step toward something more; we use the physical for building what is permanent.

In time, I experimented with other methods.  I learned to lead the chickens, guineas, turkeys, and ducks inside through the power of directed thought, moving with them.  I watched the way they scattered when I was scattered and how they responded quickly when I was directed, holding steadfast to where I wanted them to go.  In this, I learned to perceive how thoughtforms shift as they move through my mind.  I could feel it as my images got closer to manifesting, and I began to learn ways to make adjustments along the way to ensure their continued movement.  I learned also that I was perceiving how well my thoughts were being received, exploring the science of harmony.  Throughout my time at the College of Metaphysics I have expanded upon this.

One of the first things I learned in coming here was to value physical activity.  This branch of learning has also threaded itself through my experiences at the College of Metaphysics, evolving as I have evolved.  It is how I’m learning to value using the physical for what it’s meant for.  It started with learning to enjoy breaking a sweat.  When I was new here, my classmates and I bonded with each other and served something greater than ourselves by building fences together.  We got a healthy dose of fresh air and exercise, and we felt great!  We learned from Tad how to energize ourselves through activity, with the powers of breath and concentration.  During that time, I learned a lot about being in the present moment and practiced this, producing moments of being more awake and filled with awe than I’d ever experienced before.

I know from experience that a student can rapidly build anything they need to at the College of Metaphysics.  I can’t count all the ways I practiced concentration.  Everything from driving the tractor to planting trees, to serving at Spiritual Focus Weekends added to this.  I learned that any activity can be used to build the qualities I need and desire.  I also learned new physical skills that enabled me to be more useful to the whole, which I could use to learn and grow with.  These skills, such as tractor driving, plumbing, electrical wiring, herding cattle, gathering garden vegetables and orchard fruit, and even butchering chickens, served to give me broader life experiences and vehicles for practicing the qualities of being I have sought.

At the College of Metaphysics I have built permanent understanding in Persistence, Re-spect, Openness, Perspective, Necessity, and Love.  Everything that happens at the College of Metaphysics is an opportunity to learn.  This is true for life in general.  At the College of Metaphysics it is obvious.  The environment stimulates change and awareness.  Everything from energy amplifying forms to daily interaction with Doctors of Metaphysics does this.

I have learned more at the College of Metaphysics than most people learn in a lifetime.  I also learned things about myself and what I’ve already had within me that I hadn’t known or realized before.  I learned that I can have a calming influence on others.  I learned that when I give a massage I’m drawing upon understandings of sensitivity, and that there are many ways I have experienced myself and can experience myself beyond the physical that I had not known about.  I’ve even improved my ability to receive and recognize past life memory.  This has helped me to be more conscious about experiences I have and have had.

I can’t imagine another place so perfect for facilitating major soul transformations.  The closest I can imagine to this, is how this place will continue to evolve as the consciousness of the planet continues to evolve and more students come here to manifest their greatness.  I want the benefits that I have received to be received by many more.  I know that this would change the face of the Earth.  I look forward to returning here in a teaching capacity and seeing this campus expand exponentially.  I look forward to the Octagon on the hill, to hosting world leaders, and teaching classes and giving Intuitive Reports daily, and I look forward to taking the steps that will get us there.

When I was new, one of the responsibilities I was gifted with was taking care of the foul during fourth root race laboratory.  The person who had tended them before taught me about expanding my energetic field and manipulating it to nudge animals in the direction we wanted.  Together we expanded our consciousness to surround the entire barnyard, then gradually closed in these invisible walls until all the chickens, guineas, and ducks were in their home for the night.  After all, animal brains in birds, as well as human bodies, tend to follow lines of least resistance.  This was the beginning.  I worked with what she had given me as well as what I was being taught in other areas throughout the day.

Learning to make cheese taught me to deepen my attention.  I learned to perceive the receptivity of substances as I stirred the milk.  I practiced fully receiving the substance before me, and I practiced giving my Self or a chosen thoughtform completely to the milk, again, noting the difference.  I also learned to better stick with a process until completion.  I improved my concentration and learned to expand my attention.  Cheesemaking became an expression of love and stillness.  Then I had opportunities to teach others, which showed me where I was at as a teacher.  I learned what I had done well and what I would do differently in the future.

Each new class that came to study at the College of Metaphysics during my time here brought new elements to my experience and provided me with deeper awareness of how I can better teach.  In this way I developed a greater care for other people, expanding my understandings of compassion, building openness, patience, and communication.  I have improved my communication skills by reaching out to the public through letter writing and dream interpretation.  The community atmosphere at the College of Metaphysics has also helped me to improve in this area.  I’ve learned that it is considerate for me to let others know what my plans are and what my experiences have been.  In a community it is easier to see that we are all interconnected and, thus, influence each other.

I’ve learned that everyone has simple lessons they can learn that make a big difference in their experiences.  For me, these were learning how to read faster, that not everyone thinks like me, and that in every moment I have the power of choice.  I’ve also learned that I don’t have to be perfect and that, by accepting where I am, I can more easily relate to others because, as Dr. Barbara has put it, I haven’t seen many of us walking on water yet.

Connecting with people has become immensely important to me.  At the College of Metaphysics I’ve learned to still my mind and wield my attention in ways that enable me to more fully receive others so that I can lend the support of my presence or give needed space.  I’ve learned that in working with people and places, it’s important to receive what is present before seeking to add to.  I now have the capacity to wield my attention in ways that once seemed superhero-like.  A couple months back, when I was on EPFX (a sophisticated bio-feedback machine) my body didn’t want to receive what was being sent for my healing.  I recognized with self-respect that my headspace in being sick was similar to the over aggressive state of mind I had before I studied at the College of Metaphysics.  Instantly I used what I’ve learned at the College of Metaphysics to cause my mind to be receptive.  Instantly the EPFX experience shifted.  Being mentally receptive went from being my greatest weakness to a strength, which has even been confirmed by Intuitive Reports I’ve received.
