The heart of SOM is a four cycle course of study which supplements more traditional forms of higher education by teaching the student how to fully utilize knowledge gained through previous schooling. Our teachings are unique, innovative, and bold. Metaphysics, as taught at 14 centers in the U.S., is the applied study of the Universal Laws and Principles governing creation in our universe. Consciousness is explored and developed through mental and spiritual disciplines which enhance your physical life and enrich your soul progression. We teach concentration, visualization (focused imagery), meditation, and control of life force and creative energies. As a student, you will develop an understanding of the purpose of life and your purpose for this lifetime. Study centers are located throughout the Midwestern United States. Our program of study goes beyond the limitations inherent in physical study, transcending the pairs of opposites to discover the origin of unity in religion and science, philosophy and conduct, freedom and responsibility, peace and discipline. Through scientific methods and spiritual practices, students discover the cause and effect of both the inner and outer worlds. Educational Services Speakers BureauTeachers from the School of Metaphysics are available for speaking engagements for meetings, conventions, and seminars. You can choose from a wide variety of topics in the area of human potential or go with our proven crowd pleaser – dream interpretation. Whether a luncheon business meeting, a university symposium, a high school psychology class, or a church group, we’ll create a program in content, length, and presentation to meet your special interests and needs. To discuss possibilities and schedule speakers in your area call your local center. When there is not a center in your area, you can make arrangements for a national representative or author to speak at your event by contacting headquarters at 1-417-345-8411.Lectures/SeminarsEach School of Metaphysics sponsors educational programs on metaphysical subjects which are open to the public. Many are held at community colleges, businesses, and libraries. A current calendar of upcoming events in your area can be obtained by calling your local center. For programs scheduled nationwide or on the College of Metaphysics campus contact national headquarters.Projection of Healing EnergiesQualifying students meet every Sunday evening School-wide to send healing projections to those desiring mental, emotional, and physical health and well-being. Since projections are accomplished through a direction of mental energies to the mind and body, your physical presence is not required to receive a healing. This service is available upon request by the individual desiring a return to health and wholeness.National Dream Hotline®The National Dream Hotline® is a unique educational service sponsored by the School of Metaphysics. Offered annually the last weekend in April, faculty and qualifying students man telephones for 56 continuous hours answering callers' questions about the meaning of dreams. In forty years of research, we have found all dreams are significant for they contain revealing messages from the inner man to his outer consciousness. Each year knowledge of the National Dream Hotline® expands throughout the globe thanks to the cooperation of national and international radio, television, and print media. National representatives have been interviewed for their expertise on shows as diverse as Voice of America to Rick Dees’ Top 40. No matter who you are or where you live, the Hotline will dispel misconceptions, myths, and fears by offering guidance for productively using your dreams in your waking life. Our goal is to raise a generation empowered by Self knowledge who are free from fear. |

Universal Hour of Peace On December 31st, people who want to meet with those of like mind to usher in a new year filled with peace, contentment, and security. We know that living peaceably begins by thinking peacefully. And the peace that precedes all others is Peace of Mind. Plan to join us as we endeavor to raise the vibration of the planet. The Universal Hour of Peace begins at 11:30 p.m. local time. The hour is opened with the Prayer for Enlightenment around the World. Each center provides an atmosphere conducive to both group and individual meditation. Aromatherapy and flowers fill each room with a pleasant essence conducive to deeper states of consciousness. After sharing the gratitude for the passing year and the hopes for the new, we usher in the new year with the ancient sound of creation, the Sanskrit Aum. The hour concludes with a Circle of Love, expanding light and love through Self, to our neighbors and into our Universe. Some Schools expand their offerings before and after the Universal Hour of Peace, inviting members from the community to share their ideals and practices. Others create an evening of music or poetry leading up to the hour. Others invite participants to stay til dawn, discussing their greatest learning, favorite book, or their expectations for the coming year. Community ServiceEach month, fifteen percent of the donations received at each center is given to aid local families in need of financial assistance. Students actively seek charitable ways to help their communities to grow thereby enhancing the quality of life for everyone. Whether organizing food drives or caroling during the Holiday season, School of Metaphysics students are active in community involvement.LiteratureBookrooms in each center are open to the public and carry a wide variety of metaphysical literature including all publications of School of Metaphysics Publishing. From the classics to new releases, if it stimulates thinking you'll find it in the Bookrooms. Contributions are accepted any time. |
