What is the study?
Metaphysics is the combination of two words meta which means beyond and physics which means nature, or the physical world. Metaphysics, as we teach it, is the study and application of the Universal Laws and Truths that govern the inner worlds and have their manifestation in our daily lives. From ATTRACTION to RESONANCE to PROSPERITY, our universe is guided by unseen principles that are the key to health, wealth, longevity and peace of mind. The School of Metaphysics offers a four-tier course of study where you will enjoy the time and space to explore and develop your command of super-natural and extra-ordinary capabilities available to every individual.
Imagine studying the human energy field that emanates from your thoughts and body for three weeks. Then move to a week of learning the equation for success in any endeavor. Next learn the profound connection between your breath and the state of your consciousness as you begin practicing meditation. From lessons on positive thinking to mental healing, you learn how to turn experience into compassion, understanding into expertise, all the while studying the language of dreams. Who studies?
Everyone! Artists, bakers, construction workers, dentists, engineers, florists, geologists, hairstylists, insurance salespeople, judges, kindergarten teachers, landscapers, managers, nurses, office workers, painters, receptionists, social workers, telecommunication experts, vocational education teachers, writers, and many more. From 18 to 80, our students come from all backgrounds, cultures, races, and faiths. It is our vision that each person on the planet studies at least the first cycle of lessons.
Why study metaphysics?
In order to understand the mysteries of creation, you must first understand Self. To enable you to know your Self, we teach the ten essential life skills. Through harnessing mental abilities like Self respect, Concentration, Listening, Reasoning, Imagination, and Breath, you will become more successful, abundant, and prosperous in every area of your life.
How long does the course last?
The School of Metaphysics offers a four-cycle course of study for developing and mastering Self. Each cycle includes 24 lessons designed to explore, develop, research, and master specific skills for unifying spirit, mind, and body. Students advance at their own rate of speed. Upon completion of the course of study the individual earns a Doctorate in Metaphysics.
Are there prerequisites for application?
The only prerequisite for this course is a desire and willingness to change.
Where is the study offered?
The course of study is taught in branches in the United States and through correspondence with a teacher who resides at the College of Metaphysics. A wide range of publications and productions are available for home study as well as a membership organization (SOMA) online.

 The School of Metaphysics is dedicated to teaching principles and practices designed to bring forth the potential of the whole Self. It does not promise instant enlightenment or overnight success. The step-by-step method of applied study is guaranteed to produce permanent results through daily use of universal truths. Students develop understanding and mastery of mental skills including undivided attention, concentration, listening, memory, re-energizing and realizing of mind and body, mental healing, and communication. Meditation, dream interpretation, intuitive and spiritual development are the means to experience the inner levels of consciousness. These disciplines bring the student into the realm of that consciousness. These disciplines bring the student into the realm of that unused ninety percent of the brain power and open doors to what exists beyond the physical life. The applied study produces Self awareness and insight into the greatest mysteries life has to offer.
The School of Metaphysics program supplements more traditional forms of higher education by teaching the student how to fully utilize knowledge gained through previous schooling. Its teachings are unique, innovative, and bold. When the principles of memory are understood, the student moves beyond the limitations of rote memorization of knowledge. When the principles of will are understood, the student realizes his ability to determine his personal impact upon the world's body of knowledge. When the principles of imagination are understood, the student is free to employ his own creativity thus expanding his knowledge beyond the commonplace and contributing to the progress of mankind. The student applies knowledge in his own experiences thus reaching his own personal greatness.
Through mental disciplines, the student gains command of the reasoning abilities. As the inner thinker develops, the essence of education becomes apparent. The educate comes from the Latin educatus meaning to draw out or to lead forth. The School of Metaphysics was brought into the world in 1973 as a place where all people of all backgrounds could come to study, learn, teach, research the ways to live in harmony with the Universal Laws that govern creation. It is a 501(c)(3) educational institute of higher learning.

The ideal and purpose is accomplished through teaching lessons in the step-by step development of the mind. These lessons afford a means to unfold human potential and quicken individual soul progression. They are scientific for they are rooted in principles that apply to anyone, any time, anywhere. This is the universal nature of what we teach. Mental exercises and spiritual disciplines accompany each lesson, enabling the student to build and refine his ability to ask questions and answer them. The disciplines are artistic for they rely upon the individual’s desire and expression of will to flourish. This also means that each student progresses at their own rate of speed.
