What might a GREAT WORLD HOUSE look like?

The Vision

How rare is a school that teaches people the inner workings of the Mind?

How important is a school that teaches tomorrow’s teachers of metaphysics?

How precious is a school that collectively can influence and is influencing the higher transformation of consciousness on the planet – the awakening of awareness in Humankind?

For years, our School has held the dream of accelerating the evolution of humanity.
For years, our School has held the dream of building a global University for the development of Intuitive, Spiritual Man.  We are collectively, steadily, marching toward that fulfillment.  A necessary part of that goal is a common meeting place for people to study and practice. Many of our country’s cities now have SOM branches. For us to open more and more branches and regional centers in new cities in a coordinated way, we must expand our headquarters capability. In answer to this need, our 'World House' dome (Headquarters dome) is solidifying every day.  We are creating a new world 'hub' for intuitive knowledge, teaching and practice on the campus of the College of Metaphysics.

"We have inherited
a big house,
a great 'world house'
in which we have to live together - black and white, Easterners and Westerners, Gentiles and Jews, Catholics and Protestants, Moslem and Hindu, a family unduly separated in ideas, culture, and interests, who,
because we can never again live without each other,
must learn, somehow,
in this one big world, to live with each other."

–Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. American clergyman & civil rights activist

from his Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech 1964

Design and Plans
After much consideration and experience with building the Peace Dome on the College of Metaphysics’ campus, we have settled on a monolithic dome as the design for the new headquarters space. A monolithic dome is economical, super-insulated, goes up quickly, has very low maintenance costs, is energetically conducive for concentration, and is inspiring to see. Floor plans are infinitely flexible. And we have an established relationships with dome builders already.

We have 19 months to gather the necessary funding for the building, and those same 19 months to design the building, to reach our goal of breaking ground and laying the foundation in early June of 2012. After a research team visits in early December with the engineers and architects from Monolithic Dome Institute in Italy, Texas, who design and build monolithic domes, we'll have a much better estimate of how much this whole project will cost.

We have general estimates of around $1 million, based on comparisons of square footage and similar dome projects. So far, we have collected over $100,000, a dozen valuable commitment rings, and a whole lot of quarters. With all of us pooling our resources together -- our connections, our skills, our passion, and our powerful minds -- we can/may/should/will begin construction in early June of 2012. Construction will continue through 2012 and 2013.
