This report addresses the significant mind pattern active in how one parents. It illuminates the influence the parent has upon the child even when not in the child's presence. Through a Parenting Profile you see yourself through your child's eyes while receiving feedback on what is and what is not working to produce your desires as a parent. Parenting Profiles free the mother and father to realize how their highest hopes can be realized and why in the present they may seem to lag.

excerpts from the profiles of a mother and father with a four-year-old girl

First, from the Mother's Parenting Profile

....There is a very strong capacity for creativity, imaginative creativity within this one that has been built over many experiences. We see that this one is capable of taking many different elements and putting them together in different and new ways and we see that this is a very strong quality within this one that does feed her and does resonate with her soul. When this one is active in this regard is when this one is the most at peace and happiest and is the most effective in parenting.

We see that there is a very strong sense of vulnerability within this one in the present, however, that has somewhat interfered with the openness and the strength of the imaginative skill within this one. Most of this is from this one attempting to shut off memories that this one finds disturbing or uncomfortable and we see that when this occurs there is a lessening of the reasoning capacity and there is a kind of stagnation and passivity that does set in to this one’s thinking. There is a need for this one to become more aware of the ways in which this one becomes blocked by the past and this one’s perception of the past. There is a need for this one to understand this so there can be the freedom within the present time period for this one to respond fully for we see at the present time this one often holds the self back or does cause there to be a short-circuiting of the creativity because of negligence in learning from the past.

Discipline within this one’s thinking would aid greatly and this one would need to redefine discipline within her thinking for it is not as this one has learned it to be, but more so how this one imagines it can be. In order for it to be a reality for this one this one will need to incorporate it into her thinking rather than merely entertain it as a kind of fantasy. (4-8-00-BGC-6)

This one is quite willful. We see that there have been many incarnations where this one has developed a very strong ability to be determinant and direct in this one’s thinking. This is present within the mind in the interactions and engagements with this one’s offspring. We see that when it is present there is the great capacity to get across this one’s ideas and to communicate not only in a physical manner but also in a subconscious manner which is an advantage. We see that there is the capacity for this one to use very strong patterns of logic. This needs to be developed and refined into active reasoning where the imagination is employed more often. And this one’s mind becomes more open. For we see that there is often also a pattern which is somewhat detrimental to this one where this one becomes fixed and very closed minded in this one’s assessment of situations or in what this one wants to get across. It is the cultivation of openmindedness and capacity to outgrow logic that will aid this one the most in this endeavor. There have been time periods when this one developed a basic logical skills of drawing upon memory and will and coordination particularly in regards to survival. But we see that they were also the same skills that in other times got this one into trouble because this one did not use the faculty of imagination to see something different from what existed. And it is in the present timeperiod that this one has the opportunity to employ all and in that way to develop reasoning to much greater extent. It is in the interaction as a parent that this one is stimulated to do so more readily and has the motivation to do so. First, from the Mother's Parenting Profile

There is a great deal of joy and a great deal of love this one has built within the Self that is a part of this one. This is the dominant quality most expressive in regards to the parenting that this one does tender at the present time. We see that this is an undeniable force within this one that exists whether this one is conscious of it or not. It is the predominant influence between herself and the offspring and it is most profound in its effect. It would be helpful for this one to be more cognizant of it. We see there are ways in which this one can be somewhat conditional with the love and become self-defeating when it does occur that could easily be remedied as this one becomes more cognizant of the expression of love within her.

There have been many incarnations where this one has been in a situation to draw upon love both in a cohesive way, in a compassionate way, in an enduring way, and all these are brought to bear within the present time period. There are times when this one feels tested in regards to this, but this is when this one’s awareness is quickening and this time needs to be embraced rather than seen as a point of trouble or confusion. There is also a pattern of indifference within this one’s thinking that has been promoted over a long period of time and we see there are times when this one becomes inattentive and distracted away from awareness of what this one has to offer. This at times is misinterpreted and has caused there to be a movement away from the joy and love which is this one’s strength. In most cases the indifference is a defense mechanism when this one feels somewhat overloaded or merely wants to be alone. The attention will be withdrawn. This is not a difficulty unless it is done unconsciously or it is done at an inappropriate time. Would suggest this one become more aware....(4800BGC4).

...This would be aptly described as loyalty.

We see that there is a very strong sense within this one of an image of what family is, what it means and how it needs to unfold or operate and we see that this has been built over many time periods. This one has experienced in many different forms a very strong unification between people. We see that there is a sense within this one that is very natural in regards to interacting with family members and we see that this is a strength in regards to what this one offers that at times he is conscious of but much of the time he is living it without knowing.

There would be a great benefit to this one becoming more cognizant to this and it might be well to apply the skills with which this one has in this manner within other situations which could be made family, situations which are not necessarily of a genetic variety but are of choice. For we see that there is some difficulty that this one has when there are choices that are not in alignment with his own, particularly amongst those whom this one considers family. There have been past situations or times when there has been some betrayal or some sense of hurt or disappointment where these kinds of disagreements arose and there is a similar attitude that is still present within this one that this one could understand within the present time period.

..of a married teacher in her 40's with one daughter in her midteens.

....This would be in the expression of encouragement that does come from the desire to aid another. It has expressed itself in many experiences within this one in the avenue of teaching. It is more than this however in that this one does have a kind of satisfaction which is derived from aiding others and this is very strong in this one's sense of parenting.

We see that there is a need within this one for recognition or validation which does interfere with what this one gives. When the validation is present this one gives more. When it is not this one tends to hold back and begins to refuse to give. This is a bedevilment to herself more in regards to association with offspring for it does cause there to be a kind of restriction within the Self that becomes most unpleasant. This is a pattern which has been established before and has been reestablished in the present.

There has been this dependency cultivated over several lifetimes upon the reactions of others for this one’s impetus to give. It would be helpful for this one to look inside the Self for the impetus to give rather than to the external environment. For it is within the Self that freedom will be found not outside of the Self.

There is a need for this one to be transcendent in the thinking in terms of the continuity of existence and how this one understands it and lives it. For there is great capacity within this one for wisdom. This is all.

This one says how can I aid my daughter to wisdom?

By being an example herself. In the dependency that has been spoken of this one often becomes distracted away from who this one is and what this one does give by the actions of another.

What suggestions would be given for this one to aid her offspring’s soul growth?

The fulfillment of this will come from cultivating true respect for the Self and for the offspring. This has often been lacking in this one’s consciousness. Therefore it has been lacking in the interaction with the one of the other, which has not been tolerated by the one of the other. This one has received the lack of toleration as a rejection rather than as a stimulus for greater insight into the Self and a change in the way this one related to the offspring. (4800bgc2)

for an umarried 25-year-old father of a boy and girl.

....This one has a rapidity of thought that is present, particularly when this one has an investment from the Self in whatever it is this one is pursuing. This has been practiced by this one for many times. We see that there have been many situations which initially were of survival but as other opportunities arose within other incarnations, there have been times where this one has somewhat refined this capacity to isolate and to identify that which will cause what this one wants to occur.

This is a very strong skill and inclination within this one within the present which at times is part of this one’s awareness and at other times operates in an unconscious fashion. It is an advantage in regards to this one’s experience for this one has the capacity to develop strong thinking skills that would be creative in nature and would promote a kind of growth not only within the Self but within others as well.

There have not been many opportunities for this one to be in positions of leadership, therefore this one is insecure in regards to individual authority concerning this. This can be built within the present and the opportunity for parenting will afford this one the stimulus for this to be built. We suggest in that regard that there would need to be an openness within this one’s thinking and a willingness to aid another as well as the Self for we see that this one’s thinking tends to stop once this one can no longer see an immediate benefit for the Self.

What suggestions would be given this one to aid his offspring’s soul growth?

This would begin by this one becoming much more aware of his own progression as a soul. We see that this one is invested in the offspring in as much as it reflects back on him as an individual. This investment is mostly within his own ego rather than on a soul level. There would need to be an expansion of consciousness to that level in order for this one to assess the offspring in that manner. There has been some toying with this idea or concept within this one’s thinking, but it has yet to become real to this one and therefore something that can be expressed naturally. It is something that is brought to this one’s awareness by an external source or something that flips through this one’s mind rather than something that is real to him and that is important to him in regards to his relationship with his offspring.
