How Intuitive Research Has Evolved

My heart was beating fast as I ascended the stairs and sat in front of the conductor and reporter.

"This one possesses chameleon properties. We see it is as though this one progresses through association, through gravitation. We see that throughout experiences through various life forms this one has found the progression to be when this one has an affinity for, an attraction to, an absorbing with...This has been the mode of this one's progression, to adhere to that which is already moving forward....Within this one's current experiencing, that there are some distractions away from this when this one becomes confused by attachment rather than affinity, by desperation rather than desire, by competition rather than excellence." 101191bc/dc

At the first Revelation Spiritual Focus Weekend, I was given an image of my soul's evolutionary growth pattern, the manner in which my evolution has unfolded over many lifetimes. My essence possessed properties '...like a chameleon.' I have always known that I can blend in with any situation, now I know better why.

Like many people, I received my introduction to the expansive fount of wisdom available in subconscious mind by reading of other people's experiences. My first experience with the metaphysical realm came when I was 13, my mother was reading some books by Edgar Cayce, The Sleeping Prophet and the incredible readings he gave. I marveled at the detail in the accounts of individuals' past lives and how they related to something called their soul's growth in the present life. I wondered if I could ever have one, because I sure wanted one.

Little did I know that miles away, people who had asked the same questions had found a way to answer them for themselves, and for others. In Springfield, Missouri, Jerry Rothermel and Geraldine DeMate had been experimenting with hypnosis in an attempt to understand the powers of the subconscious mind since the late1960's. During one probing session, Gerry began to relate information not originating from the present lifetime. This was beyond memories stored in the brain. By working together with Jerry's conscious guidance and Gerry's subconscious acumen, they had opened a door that would in time lead to an amazing development of consciousness that would affect the world.

Gerry's first venture into the inner levels of the subconscious mind remained unknown to her for some time. She did not believe in reincarnation at the time, and Jerry Rothermel saw no reason to disturb her should the information prove invalid. He proceeded to test the integrity and consistency of the information Gerry related against historical data he already knew or researched. Time after time verification was forthcoming.

Subsequent inquiries brought forth knowledge and wisdom rooted beyond physical origin. The intuitive potential of the individual was being drawn upon in a way Gerry had never expected, and Jerry had only dreamed of. It was the beginning of something that would become bigger than either of them.

Until this time, it was thought that this ability rested only in the hands of a chosen "prophet" such as Edgar Cayce (a well known American reader of the Akashic Records). Indeed, Jerry possessed a strong will and remarkable psychic ability. Gerry had cultivated the receptive power of a still mind through the lifelong practice of prayer and meditation. The combination of the two opened the door to subconscious ability that would begin as psychic investigation and ultimately lead to the creation of a school unlike any the world had ever known.

Through their persistent trial and effort, this pioneering team learned what is necessary for accessing the Akashic Records, the universal library for all souls. The means to relate this information to others was revealed to them, and the readings became a great service to others desiring soul growth. Because the past life readings identified the former life that is most significant to the present one -- it became invaluable to those seeking to know their karmic indentures, something that will one day be more valuable to man than family medical histories. The wisdom given for the present time period empowered people willing to use the information to accelerate their soul progression. Crossing of Paths readings illuminated current-day relationships in a similar fashion.

Initially, readings were given in groups, no money was exchanged. This was their gift to others. This consciousness would continue throughout the years-no conductor or reader in SOM has ever received or expected personal reimbursement for their service, all donations are collected and used by local Schools of Metaphysics or collectively through World Headquarters.

Soon people in St. Louis heard of "that woman in Springfield," and Jerry and Gerry began traveling to help others. This was an exciting next stage in the evolution of this service to humanity for it opened their eyes to realize many people, like them, desired to know. Eventually this would lead to people asking if intuitive knowledge could aid in their individual health, the reason for a family being brought together, and even the success of a business. These questions stimulated research in the '70's that resulted in the creation of Health readings, Family readings, and Business Analyses.

People talked about the readings, spreading the word. It became obvious that a School was needed for individuals to learn and apply the truth presented to them. To a large extent the initial School centered around reincarnation and the readings, and informal classes were held in the evening to make them available to working people. This new School made it possible for any individual desiring to learn to gain knowledge of mental and Universal Law.

As part of SOM student's learning and expansion of consciousness, the information from the readings was transcribed onto paper with a typewriter in four - one copy for the center, two copies for headquarters, and the original for the person requesting the reading. Many dedicated souls gave untold thousands of hours to provide this typed documentation to tens of thousands of people. Typed transcriptions were replaced by audio cassette recordings in 1982 when giving readings each week from the newly acquired headquarters was initiated.

Throughout the '70's and well into the '80's teams traveled throughout the Midwest offering readings almost every day of the year. This was made possible because the means to cultivate natural talent, refining it through discipline and honing intuitive skill, produced the means to teach others how to serve as "readers" and "conductors." The individual who was reading the Akashic Records became known as the "reader" and the person directing that individual became known as the "conductor,", the one who guides the reader to the Akashic records and directs them to bring forth information regarding a certain person. The information was for years described as a "reading."

It would be well over a decade before a change in this would come. It would be the 1990's before the next pair of pioneers would begin the work that would build the bridge into the new millennium.

Jerry Rothermel withdrew from the physical (died) in 1990, and the School of Metaphysics crossed the threshold into a new time of growth and maturing. Gerry had left active service through SOM in 1983, and with Jerry's death all original founders had passed the School into the hands of their progeny.

Two of these individuals were Dr. Daniel Condron, President of SOM, and past president Dr. Barbara O'Guinn (Condron). Daniel, a seasoned conductor of Past Life and Health readings, and Barbara, who had been giving readings since 1977, came together to lead the SOM and its intuitive research into the new century.

The first initiative was the creation of SOMA (School of Metaphysics Associates) in 1991. "Although people on six continents had requested readings since the '70's, we had yet to create the means to offer the teaching that can significantly deepen someone's understanding and use of an intuitive report," Dr. Barbara says. "It was also apparent that the inward-moving growth in society, the questions being asked and answers being sought, had prepared some to embrace intuitive knowledge in ways not previously desired or even possible. This is now being evidenced in the widespread use of "intuition" and the growing respectability of medical intuitives."

Dr. Daniel adds, "The mental technology the School of Metaphysics was developing to access the Inner Levels of Mind began to expand and take on new forms. This brought a whole new awareness to the reality of how intuition is an integral part of consciousness transformation." By the mid-'90's the identifying moniker "readings" evolved to Intuitive Reports, reflecting on-going research in the arts and sciences of intuition. Psychic readings had grown up.

In 1993, the work in intuitive advancement began in earnest. The Condrons' intuitive research into the inner levels has but one purpose: to accelerate the evolution of humanity - one person at a time. As had occurred through SOM's history, the questions raised by truth seekers pointed the way for the investigation. For instance, the most often asked question in Past Life Profiles "What is my purpose?" gave birth to the Dharma profile which identifies a soul's vital and core strengths, understandings, and abilities. "How can I be more creative, fulfilled, successful?" resulted in the Creative Mind analysis which reveals the areas of talent and genius, both called up and left fallow, that can lead to the emergence of intuitive man.

These intuitive reports are offered in the context of Spiritual Focus Weekends pairing the wisdom and insights of intuition with the guidance of a mentor, the fulfillment of another need to know expressed by people around the world.

Perhaps the Condrons' most significant contribution in intuitive development thus far and the area they are pioneering is reflected in the Superconscious Oracle - a metaphysical report given only for students. The Oracle provides an individual a way to receive the transcendent spirit of what his or her essence is - how they approach their own evolution. It was during his Superconscious Oracle that I learned of my chameleon quality. The qualities, properties, and ways of motion of each are described in detail, giving the recipient an illuminating vision as to their most core identity as a potential creator with God-like capacities.

The Superconscious Oracle is the first time an intuitive reporter/conductor team has successfully worked together to gain access in this venue to the superconscious levels of existence. The Superconscious Oracle is in large part the result of resonating with the energies that are only now becoming available to Mankind. The Condrons attribute their success in this to over two decades of daily meditation and Spiritual disciplines combined with a long-standing individual commitment to voluntary service which is free of monetary gain.

Our progress in researching and offering these Intuitive Reports over the last quarter of a century stands a living testimony to the virtues of discipline, persistence, and transcendence. These reports provide any individual a springboard to accelerate the progression of their consciousness.

I believe that in the near and distant future the service of these Intuitive Reports will become common and sought on a wide-spread scale, not only in the medical community as a "First Opinion" but among couples for marital and relationship advice, individuals for insight and direction, families, and businesses -- not just once, but periodically. The awareness of intuition -- the direct grasp of truth -- is the next step beyond reasoning. It is becoming increasingly valuable and necessary to master this ability. High quality intuitive information will increasingly become a desired and respected service in the next century.

I knows the value of these reports to the progress and future of humanity. I have committed myself to creating a computer database that will make the wisdom in over 100,000 reports readily available to anyone on the planet.

What started as an experimental venture for two people has now evolved into a valuable service that touches people on all four corners of the globe, every day. It is most exciting to imagine what the next century will reveal as mankind reaches toward the spiritual evolution we call Intuitive Man.
