The Bible Interpreted in Dream Symbol
From the time I was born, I learned about the truths recorded in the best-selling book of all time - The Holy Bible. I was a babe of only a few weeks when my mother and father took me before a tent full of literally thousands of people so my grandfather, a faith-healing evangelist, could dedicate my life to the Lord. So began my acquaintance with the supernatural, the meta-physical.
My initial recognition of a connection between dreams and the Bible came not in partnering the two but rather in wanting to know the meaning of my dreams. I came across the story of Joseph and his brothers in the Old Testament, how he saved himself from slavery by interpreting the dreams of the Pharaoh. Having many dreams myself, some which troubled me, upon hearing this I believed I might have found my savior in a beloved minister. Surely if Joseph interpreted dreams, Rev. Rhode could as well. It was not to be.
This disappointment came only a few months before the darkest period of my life. I was entering the creativity of adolescence with little insightful guidance for my spirit. Dont get me wrong, I did very well by all outwardly determinable means, in most cases a model daughter, but I was spiritually adrift. In a most undisciplined fashion I rebelled against that which I did not understand.
What I didnt understand the most was the inconsistencies in a religion which produced, from where I had placed myself, a great deal of hypocrisy in its adherents. For years in my deceitfully-independent mind, Truth became dogma, guidance became coercion, love became manipulation. Off to college I went looking for the answers to life among strangers. The Bible was a book I never opened, but I took it with me all the same.
Months went by. My understanding of life did not improve, in fact a profound depression was setting in because the purpose of my life eluded my grasp. Shortly after graduating from the university, I took a class in metaphysics as a favor to a friend. We had been studying several weeks when the president of the school visited us and agreed to teach our class. We were quite honored by his visit and quite excited by the prospect of learning directly from him.
As fate would have it - or luck, or change, or Gods will, they all refer to the workings of Universal Law - the lesson of the evening was the nature of consciousness and the structure of the mind. For the latter he drew a diagram of the mind on a blackboard explaining there are three divisions of the mind: the Conscious Mind, the Subconscious Mind and the Superconscious Mind, each having a purpose, function, and duty to perform in order for the whole mind to thrive. For the nature of consciousness, he pulled out a Bible and began to read a story I had not heard for years.
I immediately felt a hardening, the residue of years of practicing shutting out rhetoric which piqued my conscience. The practiced resistance pushed away even at the mention of the Bible. Thankfully I was not trapped by prejudice to the extent that my mind would close down. My mind went to the facts. I knew this was not a Sunday School class and I was no longer twelve years old. I did some quick admitting that night. I knew from experience that the Bible contained Truth. I just didnt understand its contradictions, and no one else I knew did either. That was why I had put the book aside, seeking truth elsewhere. Now, ten years later, I had an opportunity to revisit what I had been told was original sin, the woman eating the fruit from the tree in the Garden of Eden.
What I learned that night is presented in these pages in much the same way Dr. Jerry L. Rothermel gave it to our class that night over a quarter century ago. Here are fresh ways to understand the Universal Truths in the Bible. Here were ways to answer some of those questions Id been carrying around for years, Why did God put the tree in the garden and then tell them not to touch it? Why was I being punished for something I had nothing to do with? If Jesus came to save us from our sins, what happened to all those people who lived before him? If Christ is coming again, what in Heaven is he waiting for?
That night I understood what the gospels meant when their authors would say, let him who has eyes see and ears hear.
The beauty to me of that evening of illumination was the teacher did not give me answers to believe, he offered a way of learning that would lead to knowing. Many times in the years following that class I would hear him say, the Bible is written in a language, a language of the mind, the language of our dreams. Learn the language and you can decode your dreams and the Bible.
This is how the Bible is presented here, and through the eyes of not just one but four very different individuals.
These modern-day disciples bring the entire Bible to life and in so doing give a picture of the growth of consciousness possible for humanity. Here is evolution and creation unified through spiritual disciplines taught in the School of Metaphysics during its first thirty years of existence as a school openly teaching the inner secrets of creation.
Four distinct movements of consciousness beginning with the origin, Genesis, and culminating in Johns dream of the Revelation, places you and your growing awareness at the center of the Biblical Truths. Here is the journey of every individual, the hope of every person, the evolution of humanity. Here is the meaning, revealed in the universal language of mind, of mans past and his future. It is the story of the making of a Christ, the manifestation of a Christ, and the reappearance of the Christ. The eternal quest for enlightenment. It is your story and it is mine.
It is simply the Bible interpreted in dream symbols.

Introduction: The Bible in a Nutshell
by Daniel R. Condron
from a sermon originally given in 1986 in Detroit, Michigan
There is an old adage that says, As Above, so Below. The meaning of this is that physical existence follows the mental existence and that thought is cause. You cause your life with your thoughts. Your environment does not cause your life. You chose to be born into a specific family. You chose your job and the place where you go to work. You chose to be married or single. You chose the food you eat, whether a carrot or a slice of bread.
You make changes with the inner Self, then you bring those changes and growth outward, applying them in your life. You apply them outwardly in your physical life. Then you have knowledge and experience you can receive inward and add to your storehouse of permanent understandings stored in Subconscious mind.
The Universe operates in repeating cycles and can become an upward spiral when the life is dedicated to soul growth and spiritual transformation. As energy goes out in any form it is important to receive it back in return. To receive it means to use what is available and to use it to the fullest. Use every opportunity to keep the energy in your life moving, alive, and in motion. Money is a good tool for understanding the movement of energy because it represents an exchange of energy. So do not just hoard money, even if it is just depositing it in the bank. Do something with the energy of money. Keep it in motion. The piece of paper that money, such as a dollar bill, is printed on really does not have much intrinsic value, or value of its own.
