I Eat Meat for Spiritual Reasons

by Dr. Daniel Condron

One

Everything in creation eats or survives because it lives off and evolves from the life force of everything else in creation.

The animal species survives by ingesting plant life since the plant life provides food and nourishment for the animal bodies. In this manner, animals have been and are able to absorb the minerals of the soil of planet Earth by eating the plant life which has drawn into itself the minerals of the soil and has transformed the minerals into a form usable by the animals. This is in addition to availing themselves of the energy of the sun which plants obtain through the process known as photosynthesis. Photo means light.

Animals also eat salt, a naturally occurring combination of the elements sodium and chloride. As animals evolved from the sea, the animal body retained may of the characteristics of the oceans of our world. The oceans of the world contain salt and are salty. This is the result of millions and millions of years of rain from the clouds in the sky striking the land and washing salt (and other minerals) from the soil in to the streams and rivers which flow into the oceans. Since animal life first evolved in the oceans, our present basic cell structure, that is the cells of mankind’s bodies today, retains and must maintain an amount of salt almost exactly proportional to that found in the oceans themselves!

Therefore, the animals of the world today, including the animal body occupied by humans, that is souls, require regular doses of minerals. Most of these we can receive through a balanced diet of nutritious food. Animals also constantly breathe the gases of the planet’s atmosphere thereby receiving the much needed oxygen into their bodies without which they could not exist. Animals then exhale carbon dioxide which plants use for their metabolic processes. Thus the higher life form (animal) builds upon and utilizes the lower life form (plant) for its existence while giving in return to the lower life form of plants for its betterment.

Eating meat is not cannibalistic since animals are not people. People who have grown up surrounded by the artificial environment of a city while forcing a cat, dog, bird or fish to live in the artificial and for them unnatural environment of a house, begin to believe that animals are people. This comes from years of engrossment in their experiences. Animals do memorize or accept habits and thought forms of the people in their immediate environment. Contrary to what people may want to believe, animals who are used as pets do not exist because of or for their owners; they exist as a necessary step in the evolution of creation.
