If you’re looking for a versatile, outgoing, friendly type, find a Gemini. Geminis have quick minds and the ability to be very good at any number of things. True to their twin sign, however, they always seem to be involved in at least two things at once and sometimes even more! Because they can master things so easily, they soon become bored and are ready to move on to the next challenge. It’s hard for them to decide on a career field or life path since they all seem so inviting. Consequently, you will find many Geminis who have had more than one career field in their lifetime and may, at any given time, be moving toward the next.

Sometimes Geminis remind us of the story of the grasshopper and the ant -- they’ll take the role of the happy-go-lucky grasshopper any day rather than the nose-to-the-grindstone ant. Consequently they often come up “short” of shelter and provisions when they are needed the most.

Geminis are great communicators and love to be with a group. They love company, good food, good times and stimulating conversation. People are drawn to them, since they possess wonderful imagination and can always be counted on to discover exciting an fun things to do. This same imaginative capacity often produces careers in writing, story-telling, and the like.

Geminis are loyal friends, always willing to help out, no matter what needs doing (as long as it doesn’t take forever to do it!). Friendships are one of their most prized possessions and often are lifetime relationships. Unfortunately, this type of commitment does not always apply to their personal relationships. Innately restless and unwilling to be restricted, the stationary, relative constancy of marriage seems to be a fence around the very air they breath!

To develop a well-adjusted productive and happy life, the Gemini needs to balance work and recreation, so that he or she will feel satisfied in both pursuits. Otherwise, the high energy which they possess will be scattered and drained. Rationalization is a tool the Gemini often uses to avoid becoming too involved in an issue or an activity. It is not unusual for Geminis to move from one place to another, from one job to another. They avoid being confined to what they feel will become restrictive to them, preferring to have an easy escape should things seem to be going in a permanent direction.

It would help for Geminis to realise that committing to an idea or a life path in a permanent fashion will, in actuality, provide them with the freedom to enjoy not only the fruits of their own labors and full use of their wonderful versatility, but will also give them the sense of using their keen intelligence for a higher purpose.
