The Songs of Peace
Breath of Our Spirit
was composed as a musical way to express the heart and mind of the Universal Peace Covenant. We wanted to describe peace in many ways, so each verse creates images of peace, while the chorus describes the essence of the origin of peace. The chorus only is sung during “Seeds of Peace.”
Eternal Tao
was written as part of a cantata, “The Power of Prayer around the World,” which was performed by students and teachers of the School of Metaphysics at the Parliament of the World’s Religions in 1993.

Presented by children at Camp Niagua 2002, this compilation of stories, songs, poetry and prayers of peace from around the world is endearing and inspiring. This heart warming gift of peace speaks to the soul and uplifts the spirit.

Friends
was written in honor of the children who attend Camp Niangua at the College of Metaphysics each summer. The idea we had in mind was for each group of children to add a verse. This year -- 2002 -- the campers added two new verses! It’s exciting to think about how this song will reflect friendship for years to come as it grows and grows!
Om Shree Sache
a traditional Sanskrit chant we learned about on the beautiful album “Love is Space” sung by Deva Premal. The words affirm that Universal Truth expressing throughout all of creation is peace. For Truth to be universal it must apply to anyone, anywhere, at any time. Singing this chant causes your spirit to soar in reverence for all of creation. It is like a prayer for peace that reaches from earth to heaven and all places between. |
