Hear your heart’s sweet song
Bring your attention to here and now
Think of your attention as an object. You can pick it up like and instrument. The violin or flute or drum will stay where you place it until you desire to move it. When you place your mental attention on that “drum” you can note its shape, color, and size. You can feel it with your hands, smell it with your nose, hear it with your ears. This is all due to attention. You can also remember the last time you played the drum, imagine how it will sound when you play it outside. These memories and imaginings are made possible by the movement of your attention.
